Step Bolt ASME B18.5
A step bolt has a round head and a square neck that locks into a square hole, preventing rotation while the nut is tightened from the back. It is installed by threading a nut onto the threaded end and tightening it with a wrench. Used as a climbing step on poles and towers and for guardrail assembly. Seat the square neck fully in the square hole before tightening.
