- Description
- The hexagon slotted and castle nut to DIN 935 provides a positive mechanical lock when used with a cotter pin. The nut features a standard hexagon body and a raised cylindrical section with slots that align with a hole in the mating bolt or stud. After tightening, a cotter pin is inserted through the slots and the bolt hole to prevent rotation. This design is suited for joints subject to vibration. The nut is supplied in carbon steel and stainless steel, with grade options 6, 8, 10, A2-70, and A4-80. Available finishes include zinc plated, hot dip galvanized, Dacromet, phosphate, blackened, plain, and passivated. Sizes range from M4 to M64. For quotation, specify diameter, material, grade, finish, and quantity.
