Self-Drilling Drywall Screw

A self-drilling drywall screw has a drill-shaped point that bores its own hole and taps threads as it is driven, so no pilot hole is needed. Used to fasten drywall to wood or metal studs. Keep the screw perpendicular to the surface while driving to prevent the head from tearing the paper facing.
