- Yes. Same thread. The wrench size is 1 mm smaller at M10, M12 and M14 in ISO 7040; the nut height differs at 9 sizes (M12: 14 mm in DIN 982, 14.9 mm in ISO 7040). Small details differ too.

- ISO 7040 for new drawings. It replaced DIN 982, and if your drawing says DIN 982, we make DIN 982.
- Sizes
- M5 to M24 in both. DIN 982 also has M7, M18 and M22. ISO 7040 also has M3, M4, M30 and M36.
