Socket Set Screw Cone Point

A headless screw tightened with a hex key; its sharp cone tip sits in a small drilled dimple on the shaft. The dimple guides the tip to center the screw, so the shaft is held without shifting. Install by tightening with a hex key until the tip is fully seated in the dimple. Commonly used to secure pulleys, gears, and collars to shafts where permanent positioning is required.

Which set screw point should I use?
