Carbon Steel

Carbon Steel Hexagon Head Screw — Fully Threaded — DIN 933 / ISO 4017 / GB/T 5783

Carbon steel is a widely used fastener material because it combines practical strength, broad manufacturing availability and competitive cost. It has no inherent corrosion resistance, so a surface finish such as zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing or Dacromet is normally specified for anything beyond dry indoor use. Applicable bolt and screw property classes may be specified under ISO 898-1; the material, heat treatment and exact class still need confirmation for the ordered product. General machinery, structural steelwork and high-volume assembly where strength-to-cost matters and the surface is protected by a coating. Magnetic, and the lowest material cost of the common options. The table below is controlled selection guidance, not a claim that every listed grade is supplied. Confirm the exact material, grade and mechanical requirements in the quotation.
