- The hexagon weld nut is a fastener designed for permanent attachment to sheet metal components by resistance welding. It features a hexagonal body with three weld projections on the bearing face and a pilot diameter that locates the nut in a pre-punched hole. The nut is manufactured to DIN 929 in carbon steel, available in property classes 6 and 8 with a plain finish. Thread sizes range from M3 to M16.
